Docsee Privacy Policy

Docsee ("we", "us") is an AI document scanner app developed by Complexity Solution Group. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used and protected, and the choices you have. We tried to keep it short and honest — the same way the app itself works.

What we collect

• Account data. Your email address, display name and (optionally) region, provided when you create an account or sign in with Apple. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
• Documents you scan or upload. When you scan or upload a document, it is processed to extract its text. The extracted text is stored so the app can answer your questions. Original files are not retained after processing.
• Questions and chats. The questions you ask and the answers you receive are stored so you can return to your conversations.
• Usage accounting. We track the AI processing volume (tokens) used by your account to enforce plan limits. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the app.

How your data is used

Your data is used for one purpose: providing the Docsee service — indexing your documents, answering your questions about them, and managing your account and plan. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

To generate answers, the extracted text of your documents and your questions are processed by our AI infrastructure, which relies on third-party large-language-model providers (currently OpenAI). This data is sent solely to provide the service and is subject to the provider's data-processing terms, which prohibit using API data to train their models.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Original files are not stored — only the extracted text needed to answer your questions. Access to your data requires your account credentials; on your device the app can additionally be protected with Face ID / Touch ID (Biometric Lock in Settings).

Retention and deletion

Your documents and chats remain available until you delete them. You can delete any document or any chat directly in the app at any time — deletion is immediate and permanent. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at info@complexitysolution.com and we will process the request within 30 days.

Permissions the app asks for

Camera (to scan documents), Photo Library (to attach existing photos), Microphone and Speech Recognition (voice dictation of questions — processed on device by iOS), and Notifications (processing alerts). All permissions are optional and requested only when you first use the corresponding feature.

Children

Docsee is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 16 and older.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be additionally announced in the app.
