02 — What makes fintech different

Money is a test with no partial credit.

A normal feature that fails once a thousand times is fine. A payment that fails once a thousand times is a support queue and a chargeback.

So every money operation is idempotent and can be retried safely. Every balance comes from a ledger, not a column. Every day, the ledger is reconciled against the provider and the difference is zero or someone is paged.

The compliance questions are known in advance. We answer them in the design, not in the audit.

Idempotent

Every money operation can be retried without double-charging

Reconciled

Ledger matches the provider, every day, automatically

Auditable

Every change has an author, a time and a reason

Reviewed

Security review before launch, third-party pen test if required
